SEO Specialist/SEO Senior Manager
SparkNET/EzineArticles.com is seeking several SEO Specialists to help join our Search Engine Optimization team in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
You'll work with our large high-scale dynamic media websites to further help build our successful track record. You must demonstrate an advanced understanding of SEO strategies, search engine ranking factors, best practices from SEO industry leaders combined with direct recommendations from search engine blogs and webmaster guidelines. You'll also be intimately in touch with the competitive SEO landscape, search engine news, what other large scale media websites are doing or not doing, the future of SEO, and potential risk factors that come with every decision.
You'll shape our SEO best practices by communicating internally at all levels. SEO is not a "Developer" role within our culture, but must bridge all levels of our websites, new products, the impact on site design & redesign, and helping to mitigate or identify risk factors in order to forward our positive relationships with the major search engines.
You'll benchmark critical success factors, invest a great deal of attention on the study of analytics, reports/reporting, analysis and either assist, direct and/or follow up on the implementation of our SEO strategies. You'll should be familiar with Google Analytics (and/or Omniture).
You'll help optimize our websites for all aspects of organic search, real-time search, image search, mobile search, international search, product search, news search, etc. In addition, you'll troubleshoot SEO problems, identify and assist in prioritizing how to resolve with both a short-term immediate solution and long-term approach.
You'll be uniquely qualified to assist/implement keyword/keyphrase analysis, database mining of our database silos combined with external databases and reporting. You'll work with our Editorial team to drive content acquisition goals by assisting our members/expert authors to know what to write about that will yield them and us the best exponential results.
You'll be familiar with social media websites and how our website can measure, increase and build positive relationships to attract more organic traffic referrals from sites such as Twitter, StumbleUpon, FaceBook, etc.
- Compensation
- $28k-$45k commensurate with experience; progressive growth opportunities.
- Hours Per Week
- Full Time Salary Position, Typical work week is 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday with some off-hours work as needed
- Requirements
- Ability to communicate with all levels of our organization. Comprehensive understanding of the major search engine industry (including Google, Yahoo, & Bing), SEO best practices, what the couple hundred ranking/algorithm factors are and have a proven ability to optimize to attract organic search rankings. Extensive knowledge of programming languages including HTML, PHP, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, Flash, & RSS/XML. Must have significant experience in working with content, editorial teams and writers to enhance the relevance and quality of their efforts based on internal/external data. Knowledge of SEM/PPC helpful, but these roles are focused on the SEO side of organic traffic attraction. Your mind is analytical, methodical, detail-oriented and creative. You must be able to multi-task effectively in order to meet deadlines. Associate or Bachelor's degree very helpful.
SEO Specialist: Have at least 1 year of SEO / Social Media experience working with SEO for small to large scale website(s).
SEO Manager: Have at least 2-7+ years of significant SEO and Social Media experience working with large media websites with 1-2+ years of experiencing managing/leading people on your team. Relocation assistance may be available. - Benefits
